Much is about to be made about "Unemployment" benefits ending because of the "Budget" that was just passed. Please do not misunderstand what I am about to say, but they are not "Unemployment" benefits, it is a government welfare program. I completely understand that millions of Americans are suffering and many more will suffer because of what was just done by the "Bi-Partisan" budget that was passed in BOTH houses of Congress and SIGNED into law by the President, but the facts are the facts. Many who are collecting 'unemployment benefits' have far exceeded the amount they are legally allowed and are getting government subsidies under the guise of a less offensive term than welfare.
Progressives have been manipulating public opinion and using disadvantaged and chronically unemployed citizens to promote an entitlement mentality in our society instead of focusing on the real issues facing the country. Over and over again we have been told "My number one priority is jobs" by this President but the result is always the same, more regulations that kill jobs and steal hope from those earnestly seeking and desiring work.
Veterans are getting benefits cut and federal employees are getting a raise as a result of the new "budget deal" signed into law this week and only a handful of politicians took a stand to oppose it. Do not believe for a second that this budget was for America, it was solely for the benefit of Congress being able to spend more of your money on things that will make them look good to low information voters which helps ensure their re-election hopes.
If anyone deserves a pay cut it is every member of Congress and the President not our Veterans. I urge everyone who reads this to demand that the cuts to our military and veterans be restored and that Congress cuts their own pay AND benefits. The last elected official to ask for a pay cut was Gabby Giffords just days before she was shot in a parking lot in Arizona, we should rally around her last legislative suggestion from the floor of the House and demand action against the tyranny taking place under a false and misleading narrative.
