The recent actions of A&E network against Phil Robertson’s remarks about sodomy spurred on by radical homosexual activists that call themselves ‘GLAD’ deserve some scrutiny from the source they claim to know much about. They have stated that Phil does not represent the majority of Christianity, a claim I boldly dispute.

  The Bible is the ultimate authority when it comes to the view God has on the affairs of man. One must accept the entirety of Scripture or deny the entirety of it. The first rule of Hermeneutics, the study/interpretation of scripture, is that the Bible interprets itself and therefore stands on its own.

  Phil loosely, but correctly, paraphrased Paul’s letter to the Church in Corinth in his description of sexual sin in the interview that has caused the media uproar. To claim that what he said was a mistake is to call the author of the Bible a liar. The following is from Paul’s letter to the Church in Rome concerning the fate of those who practice sexual sin.

  “….God abandoned them to do whatever shameful things their hearts desired. As a result, they did vile and degrading things with each other’s bodies. They traded the truth about God for a lie. So they worshiped and served the things God created instead of the Creator himself, who is worthy of eternal praise! Amen. That is why God abandoned them to their shameful desires. Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other. And the men, instead of having normal sexual relations with women, burned with lust for each other. Men did shameful things with other men, and as a result of this sin, they suffered within themselves the penalty they deserved. Since they thought it foolish to acknowledge God, he abandoned them to their foolish thinking and let them do things that should never be done. Their lives became full of every kind of wickedness, sin, greed, hate, envy, murder, quarreling, deception, malicious behavior, and gossip. They are backstabbers, haters of God, insolent, proud, and boastful. They invent new ways of sinning, and they disobey their parents. They refuse to understand, break their promises, are heartless, and have no mercy. They know God’s justice requires that those who do these things deserve to die, yet they do them anyway. Worse yet, they encourage others to do them, too.”  

  These words speak for themselves and clearly explain how God sees Homosexuality. There is no doubt that God calls sexual relations between those of the same sex sin. The sinner is loved by God, and should be by His Church also, just as anyone else with another sin, which every human is guilty of having in their lives, but to call what God calls evil good and to call what He calls good evil is to call judgment upon oneself.  

  “Their lives became full of every kind of wickedness, sin, greed, hate, envy, murder, quarreling, deception, malicious behavior, and gossip”, these words from the preceding passage describe pretty well the group calling themselves ‘GLAD”. GLAD’s intolerance and demonization of those who speak Biblical truth about homosexuality reveals that they are guilty of the thing they accuse Phil of being.  

  This kind of open persecution, though minor when compared to the persecution of believers in Muslim countries, is the first phase of the coming widespread persecution of Christians in America. If believers do not come out in force to rebuke the radical homosexual lobby we will soon see violence against us in ways we cannot imagine.

 “And from the time John the Baptist began preaching until now, the Kingdom of Heaven has been forcefully advancing, and violent people are attacking it.” There is a powerful move of God taking place in the world and the forces of darkness are violently attacking those who are advancing the Kingdom. We must charge ahead and storm the gates of Hell itself. We are promised that the gates of hell will not prevail which indicates that those gates are being attacked.

 Do your part and get involved in the fight against the immoral attack on America and contact A&E and demand an apology be given to Phil and viewers who agree with his moral values and that he is reinstated in the ‘Duck Dynasty’ series. I guarantee that if we do not stand together we will hang alone.
